Welcome to the Delphi Masonic Book Club page — a fellowship of Brethren dedicated to reading,
reflection, and discussion. Together we explore key concepts in Freemasonry, philosophy, and
literature in the search for knowledge and understanding, nurturing personal growth and
strengthening our bonds of brotherhood as we seek Lux et Sapienta (Light & Wisdom) within
the Craft.

The Delphi Masonic Book Club is an initiative designed to enrich the intellectual and spiritual life of Brethren in the Province of North Munster and abroad. Guided by the motto Lux et Sapientia (Light & Wisdom), the Club will provide a dedicated space for the study and discussion of Freemasonry, philosophy, and literature.

By meeting monthly, Brethren will strengthen their understanding of the Craft, nurture personal growth, and reinforce the bonds of brotherhood. The Club will also showcase North Munster’s leadership in fostering Masonic education, making it a model for other Provinces.

The book club is open to all Brethren of the Province of North Munster, with visiting Brethren from Ireland and abroad warmly welcomed. The Book Club is inclusive of all Masons at all ranks.

The name Delphi recalls the ancient Greek sanctuary of Apollo, home of the Oracle of Delphi. It symbolized the search for general knowledge, wisdom, truth, and self-improvement — embodied in the Delphic maxim “Gnōthi seauton” (“Know Thyself”). By adopting this name, the Book Club aligns itself with Freemasonry’s quest for knowledge guided by Light and Wisdom, echoing the ideals of self-improvement and shared learning.

The book club meets at the North Munster Masonic Centre on the second Saturday of each month, before the coffee morning from 10:00am to 11:00am
